A striking shield created with natural pigment paint. The carved details are also painted.The woven rattan basketwork and handle is intact and in remarkably good condition. There are two similar shields known in the same style. This is the third example that we know of and as such quite rare. Multiple arrow tips are stuck into the front. Rare.
