In forty years of handling Hawaiian bowls (over 300 and counting), this is in the top five percent of the finest umeke that I have handled. A individual poi bowl retaining the original kukui nut oil finish, it has numerous native repairs including kepakepa, kiki etc. A masterpiece from ancient Hawaii and un improvable for the type, it has been carefully crafted from the sap wood of the tree.
